Establishing A Commercial Account for Utilizing the Greenport Transfer Station

The Solid Waste Department offers a monthly billing program, available to commercial businesses. The program allows for the disposal of only the businesses waste, on an as needed basis, without having to use a business check each time waste is brought in.  All waste disposed of within a given month is compiled on one monthly invoice and due upon receipt of the invoice.  There is no charge to the business to set up a "Registered Account".

ROLL OFF CONTAINER SERVICE

The Columbia County Solid Waste Department provides roll-off containers to residents and businesses located in the Columbia County service area.

We have four difference sized containers ranging from 10 cubic yards to 50 cubic yards. Please contact the Solid Waste Administrative Office for prices.

10 cu yd   9’ x 12’ x 4.5’ 1 ton limit; 

 *@4 standard-sized pick up loads; Good for small to medium house clean out projects


20 cu yd   9’ x 22’ x 4.5’ 2 ton limit; 

  *@8 standard-sized pick up loads; Good for medium house cleanout projects

30 cu yd   9’ x 24’ x 6’ 3 ton limit; 

  *@ standard-sized 14 pick up loads; Good for large home addition projects, construction debris

50 cu yd   9’ x 30’ x 9’ 5 ton limit


* standard-sized pick up loads represents the approximate amount that may fit into each container to assist with picking the appropriate sized container for your needs.

RESTRICTIONS:

** Customers will be held responsible for disposal of hazardous waste or improper waste.

In the event such items are found, the customer will be charged for the proper disposal.
