Be Safe When Using Our Stations
We want to keep all residents and staff safe so please follow
these guidelines when coming to our stations:
Wear closed-toed, sturdy shoes to protect from falls and drops.
Wear gloves to protect yourself from sharp edges and rust.
Keep an eye out when driving.
Keep your vehicle at 5 mph or slower while driving around the facility.
Stay alert and cautious.
Cover your waste with a tarp to keep it safe from wind and other risks.
Tarp Policy
Did you know it is ILLEGAL in New York State to transport your waste without tarping it?
When transporting your waste to the Greenport Transfer Station, please make sure to securely tarp all your trash. Not only is it required by law, but tarping your waste helps keep our roads clean and prevents trash from littering the roads and highways.
Please use a tarp when transporting your waste. Fines may need to be imposed if this practice persists.
